This chapel, not part of the original structure, was built in 1977. It houses a choir stall, which is constructed and fitted with grooves. The grooves hold the stall together so that no nails are used. The throne and altar came from a Carmelite monastery in Plascencia, Spain-it dates back to the 1300s. The eagle on the throne, a symbol of the Resurrection, signifies strength and victory.
The cross is constructed from granite with the remaining areas covered by cantera stone. The chapel floor was shipped from Our Lady of Guadalupe Basilica in Mexico City.
