NAS Pensacola is home to a number of outstanding attractions. It is well know for being the home of the Navy's Blue Angle Flight Demonstration Team as well as the Naval Aviation Museum.

When the Blues are in town, the public can view their practice on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at Sherman Field. This is usually the best time to see them in action-you don't have to fight the crowds.

Another major attaction is the National Museum of Naval Aviation. Plan to spend several hours viewing the static displays, a movie in the IMAX theater, enjoying a simulator flight, and interactive science displays. As part of the static display, the museum hosts a viewing area known as the "home front" - views of pensacola life during the "War Years."

The second oldest Gulf Coast Lighthouse can also be found at the Naval Air Station. There are also several forts on the base. The air station is also home to the Navy's Officer Candidate school, several aviation training squadrons, and the Naval Aviation Tecnical Training Center.
